CONCERNED campaigners are asking residents to tell them their ideas for revitalising South Parade Pier.

People are being invited to contact the Southsea Association and air their views on what should happen to the iconic structure, whose owners have said they plan a multi-million pound revamp.

The organisation is asking to hear ideas which it can discuss at an upcoming meeting before taking to South Parade Pier’s owners.

Association member Vince Faithfull said: ‘A lot of people don’t seem to realise the pier isn’t owned by the council.

‘It is looking in a pretty sorry state of disrepair these days and we want people to let us know what should be done.’
