AN AWARD-WINNING car park has been recognised once again for its customer-friendly features and innovative technology.

The team at Gunwharf Quays’ car park were presented with a joint award for Best Car Park Refurbishment at this year’s British Parking Awards, thanks to their investment in the centre’s underground facility.

Over an 18-month period, the car park underwent a complete refurbishment which included redecorating, re-branding, new easy-to-follow line marking and restoring the disabled bays.

A new bank of escalators was also installed between the car park and the centre itself to enable more access for guests amongst other improvements which enable visitors to use the car park with ease.

Gunwharf Quays’ car park manager, Chris Beech said: ‘These changes have made a major difference to our guests’ overall experience of the centre.

‘With clearer directions to the stores, restaurants and leisure facilities are also helping our guests to navigate their way around the car park more safely and easily.’
