A NEW body has been launched which combines three major business organisations in Hampshire.

The Hampshire Business Alliance has been formed by Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Hampshire Economic Partnership and Southern Enterprise Alliance. It was formally launched at the Hampshire Chamber’s annual conference yesterday.

Jimmy Chestnutt, chief executive of the Hampshire Chamber, said: ‘The business landscape has changed dramatically in recent times, and it is logical to look afresh at how companies of all sizes can best access the information, advice and support they need. The Hampshire Business Alliance will cut duplication of effort and provide the most comprehensive and cost-effective support services possible, capitalising on each organisation’s skills and strengths.’

Jonathan Morris, of Southern Enterprise Alliance, added: ‘The business support scene has sometimes seemed a little fragmented, with people unsure of the best place to go for the advice or services they need. With the closure of regional Business Link services it is even more essential to bring all the important resources together in one place.’
