Hampshire haulage firm helps save Havant children’s charity’s camps for ill youngsters

A HAULAGE company has come to the rescue of a children’s charity struggling to keep its camps running.

Transport company ATL Haulage Contractors Ltd, based in Marchwood, has delivered all the camping gear needed to stage the next set of camps by Havant charity, Over The Wall.

The charity hosts 15 free residential camps throughout the year for children with serious illnesses but needed help in distributing its equipment across Britain from its Havant HQ.

ATL came to its aid, offering a free service that has saved Over The Wall about £25,000. Kevin Mathieson,Over The Wall chief executive, said the new link will give more ill children the chance to join a camp. He said: ‘We are both honoured and incredibly grateful to everyone at ATL Haulage for their help and generosity.’
