HAMPSHIRE newsagent Colin Fletcher is celebrating a move up the career ladder.

Mr Fletcher, who runs Anderson S&E Ltd, in Chandler’s Ford, was elected vice-president of the National Federation of Retail Newsagents, a trade association representing independent newsagents and convenience stores.

Mr Fletcher was appointed by colleagues at NFRN’s annual conference in Birmingham last week.

He was previously deputy vice president.

When he takes over as the national president next summer he will be the first member from the NFRN’s southern district to hold the post since 1991.

Mr Fletcher said: ‘I am delighted and honoured to be elected National Vice President and am very enthusiastic about my new role.’
