PORTSMOUTH International Port is aiming to prove how far people travel from the city through the port by launching a new competition.

It is asking travellers to collect one of 10,000 free Pip whales and take pictures of him in far-flung places.

The first to receive his very own Pip is Lech Straszewski, pictured, hotel director of Swan Hellenic’s Minerva, who will be emailing a picture when the ship reaches Cornwall.

Pictures can be posted on the port’s Facebook page at facebook.com/
