A Havant salon has made it into the finals of the British Hairdressing Business Awards.

Headromance, in Park Road, has been shortlisted 
for the customer care category, sponsored by Kerastase.

Now in their 17th year, the prestigious awards are a highlight in the business calendar and attract entries from hairdressing professionals across the country.

After a two-day judging process, category sponsors, influential business associates and industry peers respected for their vision and success, agreed that the headromance salon was a leader within their chosen discipline.

Entrants must demonstrate why they are leaders in their chosen discipline and provide evidence to back up their statements.

Along with five other finalists, headromance will now have to wait until Monday, September 14 when winners are announced by a celebrity media host at the prestigious ceremony held at the Lancaster London Hotel.

The salon will be up against rivals from Solihull, Leicester, Kingston, London, and Tunbridge Wells.

Emily Warne, director of headromance, said: ‘Receiving the news that we were finalists for the British Hairdressing Business Awards was an incredible feeling.

‘Putting the entry together gave us the opportunity to look at our business from an outsider’s viewpoint.

‘It was a very useful business tool and has allowed us to see where we can make improvements, and to make the finals has been the 
pinnacle of the journey so far.’

The awards also reward and recognise the expertise required to run a successful hairdressing business from marketing, salon design, training and website, through to the personal skills of the business director, salon 
stylist and salon team.

The Havant salon has already enjoyed success, after picking up the customer services prize at The News’s Business Excellence Awards held earlier this year.
