Hendy staff lace up their trainers for 10k race

STAFF at a car dealership are preparing to take part in a 10k run for a good cause.

The team from south coast-based Hendy, which has showrooms in Fareham and Cosham, are not just sponsoring the Hendy Eastleigh 10k – staff are also taking part in the race.

They will join more than 2,800 runners for the event on Sunday March 19, the largest 10k in the south.

Chief executive Paul Hendy said: ‘Everyone within the company has really embraced our support of this event.

‘It’s great to see so many members of staff don their trainers and reinforce our support of the event.

‘We are all really looking forward to the day and the Hendy runners will have plenty of support out there on the route.’’

In addition to staff, Hendy ambassador Alex Danson, who was part of Great Britain’s Olympic gold-winning hockey team in Rio, will also be taking part in the event.
