A PORTSMOUTH company that is dedicated to improving customer service within the car industry has been nominated for an award.

Douglas Stafford, based at 1000 Lakeside, has been nominated for a Special Achievement Awards for this year’s Car Dealer Magazine’s Power Awards.

The company uses hidden camera technology to film employees dealing with customers at car dealerships in the UK.

Around 100 people work from the firm at its Northarbour headquarters.

Contact centre operations manager Madelaine Cook said staff were thrilled with the nomination.

She said: ‘At Douglas Stafford we pride ourselves in offering an excellent level of service to our clients and it is very gratifying to have been nominated for this award.

‘We are a company that likes to innovate and it is very satisfying that the services our customer contact centre offers like our showroom appointment initiative and customer retention schemes are proving to be so invaluable to our clients.’

The ceremony will take place at the Spinnaker Tower next Wednesday.
