Persimmon Homes, based in Fareham, decided to donate £500 to help the Honeypot Children’s Charity, as part of the company’s Community Champions scheme.

Suzanne Clifton applied to the scheme on behalf of the charity, which aims to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged five to 12.

She said: ‘My daughter Jorja is a young carer and the Honeypot Children’s Charity provides her with respite breaks and ongoing outreach support.

‘We raised money through a Halloween display event in our garden last year and asked Persimmon Homes to help us.

It gives children the opportunity to take a break from their caring responsibilities and have fun making the most of their childhood.

‘The help they have given my daughter has been invaluable and we cannot thank Permission Homes enough for recognising the service Honeypot provides and match-funding our donation.’
