MANAGER Liz Boynton has won an award for her efforts championing sustainable businesses.

Ms Boynton is a corporate responsibility officer at Portsmouth-based construction and development company Bouygues UK.

She was named South East Sieff Award winner at Business in the Community’s Responsible Business Awards in Havant.

Ms Boynton was nominated for her commitment to engaging with young people and supporting communities across Hampshire.

She will now take the role of ‘Sieff Ambassador’, and talk to business leaders across the region to help them develop their sustainability policies.

Ms Boynton said she was ‘extremely proud’ to receive the award.

She said: ‘The awards evening was an inspirational event demonstrating how business can develop and change to ensure a sustainable future.

‘I’m looking forward to working with Business in the Community over the coming months to help achieve our shared ambitions.

‘I would to thank the team at Bouygues for all they have done to change the culture within the company and for the hundreds of hours they have devoted to our local community.’
