THE firms behind the Graylingwell Park eco-housing development in Chichester have won a gold award for the project.

Linden Homes, Affinity Sutton and the Homes and Communities Agency, won the highest accolade in the Building for Life awards.

The development was judged on variety of criteria including architectural quality, layout and sense of public space.

The development is on the site of the former Graylingwell Hospital, set in 85 acres of parkland.

Once complete, it will provide 750 new and converted homes, as well as community amenities.

Peter Youll, managing director at Lindon Homes, said: ‘We’re absolutely delighted, the Building for Life Awards are among the most sought after in the industry.’
