MORE than 500 people have shown an interest in living in a new estate being built to the west of Waterlooville.

Work is now well under way on building the 168-acre Berewood estate, off London Road, which will have 2,550 homes when completed.

Bloor Homes opened its doors for advanced previews in May and potential home-owners have been visiting in large numbers every week.

Bloor Homes is hailing the development as ‘Hampshire’s new garden city’.

Andrea Smale, of Bloor Homes Southern, said: ‘We have invested in beautiful architectural detail and luxurious, spacious design.

‘Every property will nurture a better way of life – for our residents, and the planet.’

As Berewood’s community grows, two new primary schools will be built onsite, as well as two pubs, shops and a health centre.
