A NATIONAL research giant which produces key statistics used to measure the country’s economic performance is recruiting people for its Hampshire office.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has revealed it is recruiting 30 new economic researchers at its offices in Titchfield and its HQ in Newport, South Wales.

The announcement has been welcomed by Fareham MP Suella Fernandes who said she was ‘delighted’ by the news.

The organisation publishes regular figures analysing Britain’s economic fortunes which is used as a guide for businesses, politicians and economists, businesses.

New recruits will play a role in developing these statistics. Candidates need a 2:1 degree in economics. Applications close on April 3.
