Tithegrove is launching a recruitment drive in the county after setting up new offices in Winchester.

The firm was started more than 30 years ago and carries out ground works and landscaping on major housebuilding projects.

It is working on a major housebuilding scheme in Basingstoke and is looking to recruit from the Portsmouth area as it expands.

Tithegrove was founded in Swindon in 1984 and works with a range of housebuilders, including Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon Homes and Linden Homes, in Wiltshire and Somerset.

The firm opened a new office at The Cavendish Centre, in Winchester, last year.

Regional director Greg Tucker said: ‘We’ve built up a strong reputation in the ground working industry in the south west and now we are moving eastwards.

‘We see Hampshire as our next big opportunity. The housebuilding sector is enjoying a boom in Hampshire with several high-profile construction projects and many smaller ones too.

‘We want to be part of that.

‘But we need the people on the ground to get the work done, so that’s why we have launched this big recruitment drive.

‘We’re keen to employ local people with groundworks experience, develop their skills and help drive forward the Hampshire economy.’

Working with local colleges, Tithegrove has apprenticeship schemes running in Swindon and Yeovil and is looking to launch a scheme in Hampshire from September 2017. See or call 01793 509600.
