KENWOOD has reassured customers that its factory is to stay put in Havant.

The kitchen electronics firm, known for its iconic Kenwood Chef food mixer, has seen its business grow in the Middle East, and opened an office in Dubai last year to cope with demand.

A spokesman for the firm said: ‘Kenwood has been selling in the region for many years and has had a presence since 2003, and the new office will ensure that sales and sales support teams can be closer to the markets they serve.

‘The core activities for Kenwood, including design, marketing and engineering as well as all associated support services and European regional sales, remain in Havant.’

Kenwood’s chief executive officer, Mark Welch, will also continue to be based in Havant.
