Lovedean Post Office could re-open in shop

A POST Office branch that closed in 2013 could be reopened in a shop.

Customers and interested parties are being invited to have their say on the proposal, which would see a post office at the Central Convenience Stores, Frogmore Lane, Lovedean.

A spokesperson for the Post Office said: ‘It would be a modern open-plan local-style branch with Post Office services delivered from an open-plan till, alongside
the convenience store’s retail counter.

‘Services would be provided throughout shop opening hours which are 6am to 9pm Monday–Sunday.

‘The branch would be open for 105 hours a week, making it very convenient for customers to visit.’

The Post Office is inviting people to give their comments on the move in a public consultation.

The company said it welcomes feedback on any issues to be considered before a final decision is made on the proposal.

The consultation will close on May 2.
