Major milestone hit in car dealers' fundraisingÂ

The annual Peter Cooper Motor Group golf event at Goodwood has raised more than £100,000 for Action Against Cancer in six years.

More than 100 golfers from all over Hampshire and Sussex took part this summer and raised £18,000.

Darren Cooper, managing director, said: '˜I can't thank everyone enough. It's a charity very close to us as my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Seeking a second opinion we turned to Professor Justin Stebbing at the Imperial Hospital in London. His treatment, supported by Action Against Cancer, has reversed mum's condition and seven years later we count every new day as a blessing.' 

They hope to raise £200,000 by their 10th year.
