Manufacturer sells Havant site but stays committed to area

A LONG-STANDING manufacturer has announced that it will be moving offices.

Colt, which makes and services products for smoke control, ventilation, solar shading and climate technology, will be moving its offices to modern premises in Petersfield and Waterlooville, while maintaining its manufacturing capability at the Kenwood Business Park in Havant.

The move is part of the company’s growth strategy. All of its 100 employees currently based in Havant will remain with the company.

Managing director Nick Buckingham said: ‘I am delighted that we are taking the next step in Colt’s future in new premises and I look forward to successfully developing our business in the years ahead.’

CEO of Colt Group Mark Oliver said: ‘Our UK business has a long history in Hampshire and I’m delighted that the business remains committed to the area in new premises that meet the needs of our employees and our business.’

Colt’s current premises at New Lane, Havant, where it has been since 1963, have been sold to the Homes and Communities Agency.
