A MASTERCHEF winner, local councillor and former Warner Brothers executive are all helping to host a free business event in November.
The Gosport Enterprise Fair is an exhibition and networking event that aims to provide practical guidance and funding advice to local businessmen, women and entrepreneurs.
The meeting concludes Gosport Enterprise Week and follows the success of last year’s inaugural event which attracted over 100 guests.
Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage will host the exhibition at St Vincent College in partnership with the Solent LEP and Gosport Borough Council. Ms Dinenage plans to hold a ‘women in business’ Q&A session.
It will give audience members the chance to ask successful, local businesswomen about their experiences and professional journeys.
Solent LEP beneficiary, MasterChef winner, author and Southampton restaurant owner Shelina Permallo is attending the event a long with former director of sales at Warner Brothers, Jo Murchie.
All speakers will discuss entrepreneurship and the funding and support available locally for start-ups and growing businesses.
Ms Dinenage said: ‘Following the success last year, I’m excited to be hosting the event again.
‘Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, and while taking the first step towards starting your own business can be daunting, the rewards of being your own boss and turning a passion into a career are more than worth the hard work.
‘By bringing businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs and business support organisations together, the Enterprise Fair will help to unlock and develop the wealth of business talent we have locally.’
The event will start at 1.30pm. To RSVP, email firstname.lastname@example.org
