A SCULPTOR from Hampshire has won a national award for her work.

Cara Wassenberg, from Petersfield, has won the Amanda Moriarty Memorial Prize 2019, run by the Contemporary Glass Society.

Cara has won two weeks’ residency in the studio of renowned UK glass artist and honorary CGS member Colin Reid.

Colin said: ‘I am delighted to offer the residency to Cara, who put forward an excellent, well thought out and presented proposal. She is a skilled metal worker.’

Cara said: ‘I am so thrilled to have this opportunity.’
