A MOBILE Mexican burrito trailer will be allowed to stay overnight in a town centre.

The licensing committee of Havant Borough Council granted a three-month trial period to Jody Rosenthal, who runs the takeaway in Waterlooville precinct.

Previously, the trailer had to be removed from the precinct at 11pm. Councillor Faith Ponsonby said there were concerns about it setting a precedent and there was hope that Mr Rosenthal would move into one of the empty shops.

But she said the food outlet was bringing in footfall.
