A NEW Morrisons convenience store is set to open by the end of the summer.

Plans have been submitted to convert the ground floor of Polo House in Swan Street, Petersfield.

Officials at Morrisons said they were looking to open new convenience stores in the south east and Petersfield fitted its customer profile. The 488sq m ground floor space was set to become a restaurant with a dancefloor, but it now has a shop licence.
