‘The Solent Business Forum is a great way for me to keep in touch with business concerns, to hear suggestions and to listen to ideas on how the government could help make things easier for them to thrive.

‘Since being elected I have visited many businesses and the enterprise, ingenuity and innovation that exists in our local area really stands out – it is something we should be enormously proud of.

‘Whether it is the large employers like the National Air Traffic Services and underwater robotics experts Saab Seaeye or smaller and medium-sized businesses, there’s a huge amount of opportunity in Fareham.

‘Members of the forum are able to attend regular lunches, briefings and talks with a range of influential and engaging guest speakers.’

The forum’s next event takes place on November 4 with the CEO of Business South, Sally Thompson, as guest speaker.
