Fareham MP Suella Fernandes has urged M&S to reconsider its decision to close its Fareham branch

Fareham MP Suella Fernandes is calling on the company to review its decision to close its branch in the town.

In a letter to Archie Norman, chairman of M&S, Miss Fernandes asked for last week’s announcement of plans for the store in Fareham Shopping Centre to close to be reconsidered.

Miss Fernandes said: ‘M&S is one of the main retailers at Fareham Shopping Centre, helping to make it as thriving as it is, as well as being popular with customers.

‘It would be a great shame to see it leave and it would be a disaster for the 58 people employed there.’
