MP '˜won't stop fighting' for women's pensions

PORTSMOUTH MP Stephen Morgan is hosting an event in Southsea to encourage women to fight for their pensions.

Mr Morgan will host a coffee morning on September 14 at his constituency office on Albert Road in support of the Solent Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) group.

He said: 'Since my election I've been working closely with Waspi women in Portsmouth in their fight for fair treatment. They've paid in, they've worked hard, and now the government has pulled the rug from under them.

'I'm afraid the secretary of state remains stubborn, but Pompey women don't give up easily, and, as their MP and as the son of a WASPI, I won't stop fighting for them. The event will take place between 11am and 12.30pm at 72 Albert Road.
