A NATURAL food shop is the latest big name to join Gunwharf Quays.
Pret A Manger opened its first store in Portsmouth yesterday to offer shoppers handmade food and organic coffee.
Ivan Vasiljevic, manager at Pret, Gunwharf Quays, said: ‘Portsmouth is a thriving city and we’re excited to be a part of it. Gunwharf Quays is the ideal spot for Pret, with the outlet’s great selection of retail stores and the nearby Historic Dockyard and Spinnaker Tower.
‘We are delighted that we will soon be serving our fresh, delicious menu to the Gunwharf Quays visitors.
Pret is the latest high-profile brand to make Gunwharf Quays its home.
In 2014, the retail outlet also welcomed womenswear brand Mint Velvet, designer watch retailer Watch Station, innovative sporting apparel experts Pearl Izumi and high-performance outdoor specialist The North Face.
More arrivals are anticipated this year, with global fashion label Reiss due to launch this spring.
Colin Wilding, general manager at Gunwharf Quays, said: ‘We are excited to welcome Pret A Manger to Gunwharf Quays, the brand’s first store to launch in the Portsmouth area.
‘With numerous new additions to our famous retailers including Coast, Asics and Musto, Pret’s delicious menu of handmade natural food and organic coffee will be the perfect destination for our visitors who want a relaxing break from shopping.’
Gunwharf Quays opened in 2001 and now has more than 90 outlet stores, as well as 30 restaurants, bars and cafes.
