Nearly 100 Christmas jobs on offer at Portsmouth's Argos stores

They will be among 10,000 positions being made available in time for Christmas at the firm’s 840 stores nationwide.

Customer advisors and stock assistants are among the jobs offered, as well as drivers for the company’s distribution service.

Argos has said there will be 29 jobs at the Portsmouth store in Commercial Road, 26 jobs at the Fareham store in Southampton Road, nine at the Fareham West Street store, 16 at the Gosport store and 20 on the Isle of Wight branch.

Initial contracts for all vacancies are around three to four months, with the potential for some roles to become permanent at the end of the season.

Recruits will be offered a minimum of 10 hours a week and six hours at weekends.
