A VETS practice in Cosham is to move to a state-of-the-art animal hospital in Farlington.

Sanctuary Vets, which worked from the Highgrove vets practice, will be opening the new £250,000 hospital at the Mountbatten Business Park in the middle of August.

It will include separate cat and dog operating theatres, laboratory, separate cat and dog reception areas, and an open-plan meeting room with projection facilities which will be used to hold client evenings and be open to local animal charities.

The firm also operates a Victoria House Veterinary Centre in Emsworth, which will be moving to South Leigh Farm, Leigh Park, also in mid-August.

A recruitment drive for more veterinary nurses and support staff will be launched as part of the developments.

Sanctuary has been running since 2001 as Premier Veterinary Care.
