PORTSMOUTH International Port is ready for the winter after investing in a new canopy.
The latest in a series of improvements means all vehicle check-in booths at the port will have cover.
It will cover all passengers departing with Brittany Ferries, DFDS and Condor Ferries, meaning they won’t get wet as they hand over their documents.
Work will begin today as Gosport-based firm SGC starts to dig the foundations.
Port manager Martin Putman said: ‘The new canopy will be another visible sign of the continued investment in new passenger facilities.
‘It will cover both check-in booths and further enhance the hassle-free experience our customers have as they arrive to cross the continent.’
