THE new Debenhams store in Fareham is almost finished and looks set to open in the summer as building works continue.

The store in Fareham Shopping Centre will have a multi-storey car park.

The 210-space, four-storey car park leads directly into the centre near to Debenhams and BHS. Both the car park and Debenhams should be open in late June this year.

Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of the council, said: ‘The new multi-storey car park will give shoppers direct and easy access into the centre.

‘The spiral ramp will allow vehicles to enter and exit the car park with ease.’

Alastair Coulson, project director for owners Fareham Trustees said: ‘All appears to be on track for a June opening and works are progressing well by our contractors Gilbert-Ash.’
