After opening on July 12, Mahmoud said they had seen a huge demand for their food, which not only includes traditional cod and chips, but also haddock, plaice, calamari, scampi and cod roe.

They've also seen huge demand for their fish alternatives, such as hot dogs, veggie burgers, pies, sausage and beef burgers. So much so, that they sold out of hot dogs on their second day of trading.

Mahmoud said they had been delighted to see the positive response on social media, with good reviews flooding in on Facebook.
