SCORES of jobs will be created at a new restaurant.

More than 70 jobs are up for grabs at the Langbrook Farm Restaurant, next to Langstone Technology Park, when it opens in the spring.

The Greene King-owned Farmhouse Inn family restaurant is under construction in Langstone Road, close to the A27.

Fasset, which runs the technology park, has worked with Greene King and Havant Borough Council to ensure local people will benefit from employment opportunities.

Interviews for the new jobs will be carried out at Havant Borough Council’s Public Service Plaza between now and May, ready for
employees to start work in the spring.

Councillor Yvonne Weeks, responsible for economy and communities, said: ‘This development is giving a much-needed boost to the local economy.

‘The introduction of employment and skills plans for major developments by the council is an innovative approach that ensures local people will benefit from these new jobs.’

In addition to the restaurant, planning permission has also been granted for a budget hotel at the same site.
