THE GRAND opening of a Pets at Home store which offers grooming and a surgery took place in Waterlooville recently.

Mayor of Havant Councillor Faith Ponsonby officially opened the store at Wellington Retail Park on Hambledon Road, before taking part in a guided tour of the new facilities.

Youngster Amy Green entered a competition to draw her perfect pet. Her winning design, a golden hamster, is on display at the store and she also received £100 worth of vouchers from store manager Adam Frost.

Mr Frost said: ‘Our opening weekend went even better than we had hoped.’
