A NEW concept for buying fitted kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms is launching in Portsmouth.

Bohen, part of the Plumbase and Buildbase family, is set to launch its new branch, on Burrfields Road, Copnor, which has been transformed with a 3,000sq ft dedicated Bohen showroom.

The never-seen-before showroom has been designed specifically for customers, offering design expertise, product understanding and installation knowledge.

It has working kitchens for demonstrations and a series of events will be held to introduce people locally to the concept.

Jamie Dunning, manager of Bohen Portsmouth, said that consumers are happy to shop where the trade buys, but never sure whether they’re welcome.

He said: ‘Bohen is reassuring consumers that they are both allowed, and welcome, to visit our new showrooms that happen to be located in what they might think of as “trade-only” territory. In fact, what they’ll find is a real hidden gem.

‘Bohen is a clever way for people to revive their home with a stylish shopping experience that’s tailor-made to meet consumer needs and exceed expectations.

‘We have invested heavily in creating a unique environment for consumers and are matching that with the buying power of one of the UK’s biggest builders’ and plumbers’ merchants groups.

‘And we will offer customers a range of options for installing their chosen kitchen, bathroom or bedroom – working either with us and our trade customer contacts or their own tradesmen.’

The Portsmouth branch is one of ten showrooms that are opening over the festive period and will open its doors on December 27.

It will create about 36 jobs across the region, of which two are in Portsmouth.
