HIGH street giant Next unveiled a 10 per cent leap in profits in the first half of the year yesterday, but warned that August and September had been an ‘unusually quiet’ period.

The fashion and homewares chain, which has two stores in Portsmouth, one in Fareham and two in Havant, said it was still on course to meet its full-year profit target of between £575 million and £620 million.
