FAMILIES are being invited to two open evenings to find out more about a University Technical College being built in Portsmouth.
Pupil admissions for the specialist engineering and manufacturing teaching hub open in September for Year 10 and Year 12 pupils.
The public events will give people the chance to find out whether they’d like their child to sign up.
The first takes place on Thursday, June 23, from 5pm to 7pm at the University of Portsmouth’s Portland Building, in Portland Street, Portsmouth. The next one is on Friday, June 24, from 5pm to 7pm at Haslar Marine Technology Park, QinetiQ, in Froude Road, Gosport.
Building work on the £10m Hilsea school starts this summer and it will open in September 2017.
It is being sponsored by the University of Portsmouth, the Royal Navy, Salterns Academy Trust and Portsmouth City Council and supported by employers including BAE Systems, QinetiQ, Airbus, NATS and Land Rover BAR.
