OUTDOOR equipment distributor Rosker has celebrated a milestone anniversary with a move into a new warehouse.
The firm, in Quay Lane, Gosport, held a ceremony to mark the occasion which even saw a visit from top UK mountaineer Alan Hinkes OBE, who is the company’s gear ambassador.
The company, which is part of the global Fenix Outdoor group, was set up 30 years ago.
It is now a well-known name within the outdoor industry and is responsible for the UK and Irish sales and marketing of leading outdoor brands such as Fjallraven, Hanwag and Primus.
Ralph White, managing director at Rosker Ltd, said: ‘Today signals the start of an exciting new chapter for Rosker Ltd.
‘From our origins as an outdoor gear retailer and as a tentmaker to HM Armed Forces, we’ve gone through a lifetime of changes and developments and I’ve been lucky enough to lead the company through them.
‘We’ve always been Gosport-based and this recent investment in new, future-proof premises signals a strong determination to remain here.
‘Since 2010 when we took on responsibility for the exclusive wholesale distribution of outdoor clothing brand Fjallraven, Rosker has achieved double-digit growth every year and we hope to keep building on this good work as we look to the future.’
Its warehouse has now been relocated to another larger site in Quay Lane and the firm has invested in its logistics infrastructure which is based at its head office, also in Quay Lane.
The move has more than doubled the workspace available to its logistics team and allows it to future-proof its operation with the option of expanding the new warehouse and office as required.
The new workspace also includes additional spaces for after-sales and special projects.
