Overtime ban on Southern Rail service suspended for talks
A proposed overtime ban for union members on a rail service has been postponed to allow fresh talks.
Train drivers union ASLEF have suspended a planned overtime ban on Southern Rail trains that would have seen almost one thousand members who work for the rail operator refuse to work overtime from Sunday.
It the ban went ahead, it means hundreds of services could be cancelled every day for week or months.
Drivers work one day overtime a week on average and the operator relies on overtime days to maintain its service.
