Packaging firm manager sailing his way to the top
EMPLOYEE-OWNED packaging firm Kite has renewed its sponsorship of two sailors who recently became world champions.
Richard Anderton, who works as a commercial manager at Kite’s branch in Admiral Park Copnor, along with his team mate Tom Gillard, won the 2016 Fireball World Championships – a series of 10 races over six days.
Richard said: ‘Kite’s sponsorship enables us to spend more time on the water, and this has a direct impact on our results – performance is directly related to teamwork, and we spend a lot of time working on that partnership.’
