A SHOPPING centre will be having a party to mark its 30th birthday.

Locks Heath Shopping Village will host the party to celebrate the milestone on Saturday, June 8.

Pupils from local schools have helped to design a giant Happy Birthday banner which will be revealed on the day.

From 11am until 4pm there will be a selection of craft and produce stalls and there will be a barbecue.

There will also be a giant game of Pass the Parcel.

Retailers will also be celebrating with many of them offering themed offers and discounts.

Ian Goodridge, centre manager of Locks Heath Shopping Village, said: ‘There’s a real sense of excitement in the run-up to our birthday celebrations and we have a host of activities for our shoppers to get involved in.

‘In such hard economic times it is encouraging to be doing so well and to have such positive news.

‘This is the perfect time for shoppers to discover all that Locks Heath Shopping Village has to offer.’
