GAS and electricity bills could be cut if households join forces and switch energy companies.

East Hampshire residents can save money on their energy bill by signing up to a scheme which uses the power of the consumer to get the best price.

Switch Hampshire is supported by East Hampshire District Council and there is no obligation to change supplier once a quote has been sent.

Councillor Melissa Maynard, in charge of energy and renewables, said: ‘It is a quick and easy way to find out if you could save on your energy bills. If you decide to switch, the scheme will handle the process for you.

‘In these difficult financial times, residents need any help they can get and this scheme gives people a simple, stress-free way of finding out what they could save on their bills.’
