Mr Bloom, Bumblebee the yellow Transformer, Captain Barnacles and Kwazii from the Octonauts, Peppa Pig and her brother George will all appear at Victorious Festival’s Kids Arena when it returns in in August.

The announcement comes after New Order, Two Door Cinema Club, Rudimental, Bloc Party, James bay and The Specials were named among the spectacular's top-billed artists earlier this year.

Organisers say CBeebies star Mr Bloom and Captain Barnacles will headline the Kids Arena on Saturday, August 24, with fairy tale princesses and other pop-culture stars set to appear across the weekend.

Youngsters will be able to have their own musical fun with appearances from Rock School, drums workshops and a kids’ karaoke station.

Cupcake-decorating, colouring, Jedi training, an on-site assault course and a host of educational activities will also be available at the festival, which is set to dominate much of Southsea Common.

On infrastructure at the festival, a statement released by organisers today added: ‘The stunning festival site is well-equipped for families to explore at ease with pavements and roads throughout the site that are perfect for strollers.

‘There are also fantastic family facilities such as a baby change area and breast feeding station for those who wish to get away from the crowds.’

Revellers of all ages will also be able to enjoy locally-sourced food and drink at the festival.

Victorious will return from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25.

Daily tickets for children aged five to 12 are £8 and under-fives get in for £1, with Kids Arena activities at no extra cost.

For adults, Friday tickets are available from £35, Saturday and Sunday tickets can be purchased from £40 and weekend packages are on offer from £11.
