ONE of Pompey’s sponsors has congratulated the club after it ended the season as League Two champions.

Covers Timber and Builders Merchants, which has depots in Portsmouth and Gosport and has their logo featured on the team’s kit, has been flying the flag for the club for five seasons and sent a congratulatory message via its chairman, Rupert Green, which said: ‘Huge congratulations to the whole team on such an outstanding result. Not only on reaching League One, but on finishing top in League Two.

‘Our sales director, Steve Weston, and I were fortunate to be at the final game. The huge crowd and gathering on the pitch show what a great club we support.

‘We are immensely proud of our connection with the club and delighted with the results. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them and wish them the very best for next season.’
