FIRMS that see themselves as being at the heart of Portsmouth are being invited to take part in a new business club.

The Pompey Business Club is being run by Portsmouth Football Club as a way of bringing together all of the companies that already work with the club.

Its inaugural meeting will take place in the Alliance Lounge at Fratton Park on Thursday, May 8, from 8am until 9.30am.

Those attending will be able to enjoy a full English breakfast and hear a short presentation from one of the club’s main partners.

Pompey director Mark Trapani, who is also managing director of Snows Motor Group, will be speaking at the event.

He said: ‘The business community has rallied round Portsmouth Football Club during the last few years, when financially things were looking dire, and none more so than our sponsors.

‘Most of them are based locally, and they have always understood the importance of supporting the football club. Now, as our financial situation is stabilising, we feel it’s as important to support the wider business community in turn.’

Places for the first event are limited to two per company as demand is expected to be high.

Tickets cost £10 (inc VAT) each and include breakfast.

Places for the event must be booked in advanced by emailing annamitchell@pompeyfc.co.uk.
