They can then browse shops in Gunwharf Quays before heading over to the World Series race village near Southsea Castle.

The village provides close-up views of the racing, and includes live commentary, entry to a technology zone and there will be appearances from sailors to complete the experience.

After the racing, guests who have bought the package can take a trip to the top of the tower for a celebratory glass of prosecco.

The tower’s general manager Sarah Webb said: ‘Our joint-ticket option combines a trip to our tower with the opportunity to enjoy a sailing spectacle, supporting Sir Ben Ainslie’s bid to bring the America’s Cup home.
