PORTSMOUTH City Council is seeking to buy a property and turn it into a children’s home.

The authority is considering buying 38 Priory Crescent, in Milton, which is made up of three bedrooms.

It would replace an existing children’s home which has been deemed to large for clients – Skye Close.

The council instead wants to turn it into a centre for people with disabilities. The move is expected to save taxpayers £75,000 a year.
