Portsmouth gamers will be able to get their hands on Doom first

Amazon Prime is offering to deliver Bethesda Softworks’ Doom right to their door at midnight on Thursday for all those using its ultra-fast Prime Now service.

Gamers who place orders using the Prime Now app for the new first-person science-fiction shooter from 10pm up to 11.45pm on Thursday can choose to receive their order right to their door from midnight until 2am, while slots remain available.

There’s the option to have the game delivered on Friday morning, with first deliveries coming from 8am to 10am, with no extra cost to Amazon Prime members.

Jason Weston, director of Amazon Prime Now in the UK said: ‘It’s been well over a decade since the last big Doom release and we want to make sure local fans get their hands on the latest edition of the game in super-quick time with our midnight deliveries so they can head into single and multiplayer battles with fellow Doom fans across the globe as soon as the game is available.

‘Gamers can also take advantage of the food and drink products available for delivery using Prime Now and receive their copy of the game with crisps, soft drinks and more to help them tackle the latest instalment of the iconic game.’

Customers placing their first order of £30 or more on Prime Now are eligible for a £10 discount using the code 30PRIMENOW at checkout.
