Portsmouth Indian restaurant seeking to get licence restrictions lifted

AN Indian restaurant in Portsmouth is seeking to get conditions removed on its premise licence.

Kassia, in Havant Road, Drayton, is currently not allowed to let people in to the venue or welcome people back in after they’ve been outside for a cigarette after 11pm.

But the owner of the business, Fasu Miah, has submitted a request to Portsmouth City Council for the restriction to be lifted so people can come and go after 11pm.

The venue is open and serves alcohol between midday and midnight Sunday to Thursday and midday to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. The council will consider the proposal at a meeting on Thursday.
