Portsmouth worse than national average for not buying Mother's Day gifts
Shoppers in Portsmouth are leaving the purchase of Mother's Day gifts to the last minute or they're not buying their mum anything at all, according to new research released today.
Amazon’s Prime Now delivery service quizzed local shoppers on their Mother’s Day buying habits in the run-up to the special event this weekend and found:
· One in four (27%) people in Portsmouth claimed they left the purchase of a special gift for their mum to the last minute
· A quarter of local shoppers (24%) have forgotten to buy their mother a gift in the past, higher than the national average (19%)
· For the local mums who do get a special treat, flowers (73%) and chocolates (27%) are Portsmouth’s gifts of choice
